Y on the Fly - Bringing the YMCA to you! For children ages 7 - 11 Main Library Saturdays - 12:30pm - 2:00pm February 11 & 25, March 11 & 25 Y on the Fly is a mobile YMCA that visits neighborhoods and offers free programs aimed to help youth of all ages stay active and engaged in mind, body, and spirit. Y on the Fly provides: •Healthy meals •Educational enrichment (STEM, literacy) •Physical activities, games, & more!

Borrow-a-Tool Do you have a list of yardwork to do, but you need an extra rake? How about planting those fall mums? Well, those pesky leaves won’t stand a chance after you borrow a rake from our brand new Tool Library! After reading your favorite book, you can borrow a shovel or rake to complete those fall chores.

Spice-of-the-Month at Main & LaSalle Thanks to ongoing support from Friends of the Library, 2023's selections will be spice mixes and recipes exploring world cultures and cuisines. Due to this program's popularity, packets will no longer be reserved - they will be available first-come, first-serve, one packet per household, near the checkout desks at both branches until they run out. Share your savory adventures on the new NFPL Spice-of-the-Month Facebook Group on the Library Facebook Page. February celebrates Mardi Gras, Cajun-style. In March, we’ll sample Mediterranean cuisine with Greek Seasoning.
