Adventure - Visit Annie's Gravestone
Did you know that Annie was buried right here in Niagara Falls, at Oakwood Cemetery? (Located across the street from Tops on Portage Road) To pay her a visit, follow the directions below:
Directions: To see Annie's marker, turn right after entering the gates from Portage Road. Follow the road on the south side of the cemetery until you come to the first "Fork". Annie is in the third row at the point of the "Fork". |
Activity
Let's pretend that an egg is Annie Taylor - can you create a container that will keep "her" from breakingwhen dropped from a height? (Scroll down to the daredevil video for more container-building inspiration!) Mrs. Michele gives it a "crack" in the video below. Tune in to see if she succeeds. |
Annie Taylor was the first to attempt a trip over the Falls, but she wasn't the last!

Before Nik Wallenda, there was the Great Blondin. In addition to walking over the Falls on a tightrope, while he was up there, he did things like lie down, eat a snack, push a wheelbarrow, and carry a person on his back!
