Part-Time Library Clerk
We are hiring for a part-time library clerk to work at the Niagara Falls Public Library.
 Seeking an individual who likes order, is committed to providing a high level of customer service, is detail oriented, has a sense of humor, likes to answer questions and help their community. 

17 hours per week approx, evening and Saturday availability required.
Must be a resident of the City of Niagara Falls  
$14.38 per hour.

NFPL Internship: BIPOC Grant 
Niagara Falls Public Library is looking for a student who shows an interest in the field of library and information sciences. The purpose of this grant-funded internship is to give a student experience in a possible career field of librarianship and information sciences.   

Tasks will include the use of Canva (we will teach), the creation of directional maps for various collections in the library, the use of equipment in the maker space, the creation of directional signage in the local history collection, the creation of an online library tour to display on social media as well as curation of a  public display using items from the local history collection/adult/children's department. 

This position will be part-time, 12.5 hours per week over a period of 20 weeks, totaling 250 hours.  The rate of pay per hour will be $19 per hour.  The individual hired will be responsible for paying their own taxes and treated as a subcontractor.  Student can be a graduate of high school and enrolled in university,  or a new university graduate who matriculates in Spring of 2023.

Candidate must identify as BIPOC: Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color as per the terms of the grant
Work sites:  1425 Main Street and 8728 Buffalo Ave. Niagara Falls NY
Dates:   12.5 hours of work per week, completed over 20 weeks. Totaling 250 hours.  Could begin May-August, or August - December 2023.
Rate of pay: $19 per hour paid on a bi-weekly basis, as a subcontractor; or $4 750 per entire internship
